Northern Lights, Teriberka, Reindeers & Husky! This 3-day adventure begins with an included evening Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) hunt. Day two is dedicated to exploring the dramatic Barents Sea coast during a full-day trip to Teriberka, featuring landmarks like the ship cemetery and Dragon Egg Beach. Conclude your tour in Sami village, including close encounters with reindeer and huskies and participation in traditional Arctic activities and lunch.
ARRIVAL
After check-in you may visit local restaurant and have a rest.
We will inform you the exact time for Aurora hunting. It is necessary to be dressed warmly.
AURORA HUNTING INFO:
At 21:00 (Local time) we will pick you up at your hotel and start hunting
(exact time will be advised when we get pictures of the Sky).
- The hunt typically lasts 3 to 5 hours (depends on weather conditions)
- We provide hot tea and cookies onboard
- All pictures with Aurora are included in the price of your trip
- After Aurora hunting our driver will take you back to your hotel
Note: At the latitude of Murmansk, the Northern Lights occur every
night. However, their intensity can vary. On the day of the hunt, our specialists analyze satellite images to assess cloud coverage and auroral activity. Based on this data, a decision is made whether to go on the hunt.
08:00 Departure to Teriberka - one of the region’s oldest coastal settlements.
The village is located right on the shore of the Barents Sea, which is a marginal sea of the Arctic Ocean.
We will take amazing photos at the most famous spots:
- Polar wind Park and Rock Garden
- Abandoned ship graveyard
- Dragon Egg Beach and Dragon's Lair
- Battery Waterfall among Red Cliffs
- Giant Swings on the Seashore
- The Famous Traveler's Bench
Lunch at a restaurant on the sandy beach of the Barents Sea (not included).
Return to Murmansk around 19:00.
Visit to a Sami village, where you will learn about the culture, traditional dwellings, and lifestyle of the Sami people.
- Meeting the animals: huskies, reindeers, raccoons, rabbits and Arctic foxes. Feeding reindeer, taking pictures with animals.
- Reindeer sledding, snow tubing, sliding down an ice chute.
- Photo session in national costumes of local peoples (Sami).
- Outdoor Sami games: «tug-of-war», «deer and wolves», «Sami football» etc.
- Arctic lunch in the park (included).
